Airless Tires

Has one of your tires ever popped while you were biking? Have you ever been too lazy to fill up the air in your tire since you know the tire will eventually go flat again? I’ve had plenty of experiences where I’ve had trouble with tires while biking. One time, my friends and I were biking pretty far, and one of my tires burst in the middle of nowhere. I had no way of fixing it, since no cars could come and get us and the nearest bike shop was miles away. This problem wouldn’t happen with this new invention.

With Bridgestone’s new tire, you will never have to deal with any of these situations again. Bridgestone is going to release new tires this summer that do not have any air in them, so any air-related problem that you might have with your tires is gone. The tires use recyclable material, and they have an advanced spoke design that distributed the weight evenly throughout the tire. These tires are designed so that they never can leak or get punctured.

Furthermore, this product isn’t just limited to bikes. These tires could eventually be available to be used in your car. You would never have to use a spare tire ever again. The tires aren’t ready for cars yet, but they will be soon. I think this product is going to revolutionize the future of cars as our current tires have not had any drastic innovations since their release back in 1845, and they for sure need one. A lot of money in our society is wasted on replacing flat tires and dealing with all the problems that it might have. Imagine how much money we can save by not having to deal with any of these problems. It will save time and money from not having to constantly replace them.

Also, most cars have to use extra energy while driving because of normal air tires. When the tires aren’t inflated properly, they force the car to use more energy to compensate. With these airless tires, you save energy which decreases the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, so you save money and save the planet in one product. That seems like a win-win situation to me.

The main problem of these tires though is being able to support heavy weight. Right now, they can only hold weights of light objects like bikes, golf carts, and lawnmowers, but there’s no way that the tires can support the weight of a full-sized car. This tire would be most useful to the trucking industry that has trucks constantly driving on the road and they have to spend a lot of money on constantly getting new tires for all the trucks. However, if this invention still isn’t close to supporting a car, it’s not even remotely close to being able to support a full-sized truck.

Personally, I have a strong feeling that these tires will become the new tires of the future as humans are going to have to become more environmentally conscious in the future. I think that they would be really revolutionary as they would allow us to drive more places that we couldn’t with normal tires for fear of popping our tires.
