Having my own prosperous personal garden has been a longtime personal goal of mine, and I have tried to achieve this goal multiple times but to no success. Whenever I tried, all of my plants would never make it to the end. Unless you’re a full-time farmer, most people, myself included, do not know how to properly take care of a plant, and a majority don’t have enough time to take care of them either. However, what if you could properly take care of your own garden that basically takes care of itself?
Rotofarm is a device that allows you to have your own personal garden without having put too much work into it. The way that the Rotofarm works is that you place seeds from whatever vegetable that you want, and the Rotofarm will automatically give it proper water and light in order for it to grow. You can also monitor the growth from an app that tracks how the plants are doing. The coolest thing about the Rotofarm is that you do not need soil to grow your plants. All you have to do is insert some nutrients, and the nutrients mix with the water. Since you do not have to waste water on the soil, the Rotofarm takes 95 percent less water than a typical garden would.
The plants rotate around like a Ferris Wheel to make sure that they all get equal amounts of water, and in rotating like this, it stimulates zero gravity. The plants grow two times as fast because of this, so you do not need to wait as long as you would for a typical garden. On top of all of this, there is a bright LED light that stimulates the lighting from the Sun, and it adjusts to mimic sunrise and sunset. The Rotofarm takes care of the plant for you.
There are multiple situations where having the Rotofarm could be handy. Some people might want it because they can have their own fresh vegetables, and other people might want it so that they do not have to go to the store. Especially in times like these with the Coronavirus, it is best to try and avoid going to the stores, and if you have your own personal vegetables at home, you save having to take a trip to go to the store.
Realistically though, most of the fun from having a garden comes from being able to plant your own plants and take care of them, and this product does not allow you to do that. There is not much of a difference from using the Rotofarm or going to a local farm to get your vegetables from them. You don’t get the personal experience with this invention as you would with a typical garden. On top of that, it has a pretty expensive price of 683 dollars which is a lot of money to just grow some plants.
Overall, you have to be pretty well off to be able to buy this invention, but if you do, you will have your own personalized garden that takes care of itself. It takes up much less space than a typical garden would, and there is no mess because there is no soil. I would personally buy it if I could because it would look really cool wherever I put it, and I could finally keep a garden alive long enough to see the final product.
